Medical Education - Wellness and Resilience

The University of Rochester School of Medicine and Dentistry (URSMD) is committed to training medical students and developing competent, compassionate, and thoughtful physicians. A primary goal of the medical school curriculum is to assist students in developing an understanding of the interplay of the biological aspects of an individual, along with the psychological, social, and cultural facets of their lives and how they come together to form a unique and complex person. The use of the Biopsychosocial Model is paramount in the provision of safe, individualized care.

It is similarly important that students also utilize the Biopsychosocial Model in their own lives to gain perspective on their levels of wellness, stress, and resilience. The purpose of Wellness and Resilience website is to provide URSMD medical students a space to obtain additional tools and resources to assist you in your meeting your academic and personal goals while in medical school.
